Meet Coach Patrone

Dan Patrone comes to Taylor through an unorthodox route: retirement. Coach Patrone was a two-time all-conference defensive midfielder and team defensive MVP at Hamburg High School in Hamburg, NY. He went on to play fall ball at Medaille College before deciding to hang up his cleats and transfer to Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Even after transferring Patrone found ways to be involved in lacrosse by teaching the sport to his classmates at Indiana Wesleyan and occasionally driving down to Indianapolis to play indoor with the Indianapolis Dogs program. This summer he discovered his love for coaching while working for Ken Levinberg at Hoosier Lacrosse in Noblesville, Indiana.

Patrone reached out to Coach West after fall ball and will be working alongside the program as the assistant coach, as well as helping Coach West develop the women’s program here at Taylor. He will be responsible for assisting Coach West in practice planning, time management, conditioning, recruiting, and defensive strategy. Please help us welcome Coach Patrone to Taylor!
